How to Use:

1. Ensure that your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same local network as your Amazon Fire TV. Please avoid using multiple VLANs or subnets.
2. Launch the app, which will automatically search for available Amazon Fire TVs on your local network. Once identified, select the desired TV.
3. Enable notifications for this app to receive essential updates on the status of your TV.
4. Click 'Start Mirroring' to initiate mirroring on your Fire TV. From there, you can switch to other apps on your iOS device while mirroring continues seamlessly.
5. To stop mirroring, choose one of the following options:
   • A) Click on the red top bar visible on your iOS device.
   • B) Open the Mirror for Fire TV app and click 'Stop Mirroring'.

Limitations and Potential Issues:

• DRM: Please be aware that some apps may block screen mirroring. This decision rests with the application developers themselves. Notably, Netflix, HBO, Disney, and Apple TV+ have chosen to prohibit screen mirroring.
• To determine if an app has blocked screen mirroring, you can conduct a simple test:
  1. Open the specific app and access the Control Center on your iPhone/iPad by swiping up.
  2. Select 'Screen recording' and initiate the recording of your screen to the camera roll.
  3. Navigate to the app you wish to mirror and stop the screen recording at some point.
  4. Proceed to your Photos app and view the recorded video. If the desired app appears in the recording, it is compatible with screen mirroring. Conversely, if the video is blank, the app does not support this functionality.
